DialMask Add a Layer of Privacy to...
Review posted Wed 14 Oct '15

One of the more painful things about giving out your mobile phone number to people that you don't really know is that you are instantly vulnerable. If it’s a business that has your number, the chances are you'll be getting follow up calls offering 'the deal of a lifetime' for the next few weeks. While that's not so bad if you are at home receiving the call, you really don't want random phone calls while you are at work, out for dinner or - worst of all - when you are driving. DialMask is a very useful phone privacy app ... Read more

Lemon Group Messenger The best way to create groups...
Review posted Fri 21 Aug '15

Just what the world needs, right? Another messenger app. And what's more, it's called Lemon? Are they kidding? But, don't you remember that advert that Don Draper kept in his portfolio in Mad Men? It was an ad for a new German car called a Volkswagen Beetle and there was one word at the top of the page - Lemon! Well, we all know how big the Beetle got. It just goes to show that there's more to a Lemon than meets the eye. So, what does this Lemon Group Messaging app for Android and iOS have to offer that ... Read more

Smartphone to smartphone messaging that is free and totally private

SQURE messenger SQURE is using SMS protocol...
Review posted Mon 1 Sep '14

There has been a huge amount of conversation lately about the security of our communications - whether it be online or on your phone. In America, Europe and Australia, Governments have been desperately trying to put legislation in place so that they can monitor the online activities of potential terrorists but many of these actions appear to be somewhat disproportionate responses. Apart from the obvious invasion of privacy issue, if the NSA can have access to your private information then, chances are, there are others who might also be able to get their hands on it. SQURE messenger is a ... Read more

A social community where you can really meet like-minded friends

Worthy Are You Worthy of Me?
Review posted Tue 24 Sep '13

Is your social network getting you down? I've been saying for some time now that, in order to be able to keep up with what your friends are doing, there is an optimum amount of Facebook friends you can have. Once you get above a couple of hundred it starts to turn into a full time job to keep up with your feed properly. What began as a great social experiment has turned, for many, into a race to the most number of friends - the vast majority of which you never have any contact with. Quantity over quality. Worthy ... Real time messaging gives that walkie talkie experience

Vtalkie video walkie talkie Vtalkie - the world’s first...
Review posted Sat 3 Aug '13

Probably the most amazing thing about this iOS video messaging application is the fact that delivery is instant. Vtalkie uses simple 'press and talk' technology that allows you to share video or text messages immediately. So, effectively, this turns this easy to use communication app into a back-and-forth,  real-time 'walkie talkie' messaging service. The app also adds a social element allowing you to search for friends via social profiles. Like Glide, Vtalkie video walkie talkie is a free application that lets you get your message across fast. However, the former is only available for Facebook users whereas Vtalkie let's you ... Read more

Melt A fun little iPhone app to...
Review posted Mon 20 May '13

I'm not sure why I really like Melt...but I do. After all, there's really nothing that's particularly groundbreaking about this social photo and messaging application for iOS. It might be the fact that it has a very cool name or it might be the very minimalistic qualities of its simple interface. Or it might well be that it's just the place to get your favorite photos vindicated, liked and commented on. While, of course, we can always post our interesting photos on Facebook or any number of other social networks, there's no guarantee that your blaze friends will acknowledge them. ... Read more

NoteShred The Easiest Way To Send...
Review posted Tue 16 Apr '13

We've all heard the classic "Mission Impossible" sound bite where, after the agents have listened to the taped message, it announces that "this tape will self destruct in five seconds." Well, NoteShred is the online equivalent of the time-sensitive message. After you have sent your private note, message or document to the recipient you can decide how long they can have access to it. It ensures that you don't have important or private information isn't just sitting in someone's email in box where it could be access by others.   You might have seen a couple of reviews that FeedMyApp ... Save your blushes with this self destruct photo and video app that works on any platform

ReadOnce ReadOnce is a online service...
Review posted Thu 4 Apr '13

You might have seen a review of an app that FeedMyApp featured recently called iDelete that allowed you to send a photo or message to someone but with a time sensitive self destruct mechanism attached. It went one step further than the phenomenal SnapChat that caused such a stir last year. Well here we have another contender that is guaranteed to save a few blushes. ReadOnce differs from both those two messaging apps however in that it works across all platforms and supports audio, video, images as well as text.   ReadOnce is an online service for generating one-time only ... Make sure that your photos don't end up where Weiner's did

iDelete iDelete, an awesome free app...
Review posted Sat 23 Mar '13

If iDelete had been around a few years ago, former US Congressman Anthony Weiner would probably still be reasonably anonymous...and still have his job. Weiner was caught after sending an explicit picture of himself to a woman in Seattle. The picture went viral and, pretty soon, his career was in tatters. He's not the only person who was been caught with their pants down when sending 'sensitive' pictures to 'friends.' A few months back saw the introduction of an app called Snapchat that went some way to solving the problem by having a time-sensitive self destruct option when sending racy ... Read more
