I think we've learned a few things out of this crisis though. The main thing i think that we've learned is that it's never been more important to organize ourselves monetarily and that it's vital to live within our means. ... Read more

There has been an awful lot of talk over the last few years about climate change and what we can do about it. Whether you believe that we humans are someway responsible for its more rapid onset over the last twenty years or so or are one of the few that think it's a cyclical problem that we can do little about, there is no doubt that something is not quite right out there. The bizarre weather patterns across the US this year, not to mention the rest of the world, show us that we have a problem. It has ... Read more

Have a look at your fridge door. Is it covered with post-it notes detailing money owed or split bills that you share with flat mates?  Or a list of books, cd's or DVD's that you have lent to friends? That's how mine looks, anyway. I've thought of using one of the many apps available but, to be quite honest, they've left a little to be desired. Some only link up to your social media friends, some require yet another log in with a password (just what i need) and some only deal in money whereas most of the things I ... Read more

Ten years ago the word viral suggested something bad when it came to computer use. The nature of the word led thoughts towards viruses that would harm your computer or spam that would fill up your email in box with adverts for fake Rolexes and Viagra but why those two went together, I will never know. These days viral marketing is a legitimate and intelligent may of getting your message across that works on the 'suggest' theory rather than it being thrust down your throat. Nowadays, in fact, the tables are turned and the smartphone user can actually make money ... Read more

There's plenty of talk lately about the price of petrol . Whether it is the fluctuation of price, your car's fuel efficiency or simply the Iranians forcing up the cost of a barrel with their disruptive techniques, the bottom line is how much it's going to cost you at the bowser. Fuel Monitor is a new productivity application for iOS that calculates the exact cost of your trip based on your specific vehicle type as well as the price of your gas. This is particularly useful when splitting the cost of your trip with friends or, even more importantly, if ... Read more

While I was doing a little background research about this finance tips application it was hard not to see the plethora of mentions of developer Ramit Sethi. It would appear that Mr Sethi, a New York Times best selling author and former Stanford inmate, is the bees knees when it comes to negotiating deals. He runs a blog called I Will Teach You To Be Rich and has now released this monetary guide based on his ability to negotiate his way out of everything from bank fees to car insurance whilst also teaching you how to best negotiate your next ...
