I used to work for a concert promoter a few years back and I remember talking to him in his car one night about a Clash tour he was promoting. There used to be a covers band based in London a few years ago called Gabba who featured a hugely tall singer and performed Abba songs in the style of The Ramones - ie fast! I was always convinced that it would turn into a music genre that would take hold.
