You see it every day with school kids on the bus or train on the way to or from school. There will always be a couple of best friends with an earphone from the same device plugged into their ear listening to music. You've got to hope that they both like the same kind of music. But what if one of them is into the abrasive sounds of someone like Skrillex and the other likes the smoother sounds of Beyonce? How do you get around that? One song each, maybe? Well now this new music sharing application called splitr has ... Read more
If somebody had asked you to get involved with an online social network called Facebook all those years ago do you think you would have taken it any further? If you did, of course, you would probably be sitting pretty right now. So if a new social network was about to start up that has something new to offer and offered you the chance to get involved during the pre-organizational stage, would you be interested? You'd be crazy not to look at it. GlobAllShare claims to be the future of social networking. It also offers the chance for early subscribers ... Read more
Since the glory days of movies, when Leonard Maltin's Movie Guide was to be seen on pretty much every film fan's bookshelf, all of us movie buffs have wanted to create a database of films we have watched. The Maltin guides would often feature movie reviews highlighted in different colors for 'films seen' and 'films not seen yet' and this is where a specific iPhone app is the obvious choice to take its place. Watched is a beautiful looking film tracking and review application where you can list, rate, review and share your personal movie collection with your friends. ... Read more
We are always keen to hear about new and unusual travel apps here at the FeedMyApp offices. It must be something to do with our globe trotting habits. Swemos is a photo journal application for iOS that provides a very usable place to keep all your treasured photos and memories of a vacation trip in the same way that our parents used to keep travel albums many years back. The big difference between then and now, of course, is that you don't have to keep your photo book in a cupboard till someone comes over to visit. With Swemos, it's ... Read more
I feel for the photographic industry. For years, the only way to see your photos was to take your roll of film to the printers on Main Street, come back the following week and hand over your hard earned dollars to get your treasured memories delivered in a neat little paper wallet. Then the Internet and social networking took over. These days you can take a photo on your mobile and email it to friends and family or share it with your social networks in seconds. But, it comes at a price. There have been privacy issue for years regarding ... Read more
Sendltz is a free, cloud-based iOS and Android application that enables you to send, share and store photos, videos and documents and share them across any of your devices. Nothing too unusual about that, you might say? In the past FeedMyApp has reviewed some terrific and similar apps to this one, including Book My Cloud and iFrame Browser, but the difference here is that, with Sendltz, the size of the download can anything up to 2GB per file with a massive 1TB personal storage space available in the cloud. This lets you keep a copy of your important files in ... Read more
I guess the mark of a checklist is that it acts in a Wiki fashion by allowing more than one person to have access to it and be able to collaborate and contribute to the information in it. And if that is the criteria then My Event Checklist qualifies without any problems. This social event sharing application allows multiple collaborators to add and update their lists and can be used from anything from a dinner party for a birthday to a live sporting event. My Event Checklist lets everyone see and contribute to the event they are invited to. ... Read more
InviteToPray is one of the only religion oriented applications we here at the FeedMyApp offices have had the pleasure of reviewing. Considering the amount of God fearing individuals there are in the world this comes as a bit of a surprise to me. I don't see any reason why there shouldn't be more but, as it stands, this app for offering prayers is all we have right now. But don't think thats all this surprisingly interesting app has going for it because it is filled with extra features including privacy controls, prayer requests by you and for you and there's ... Life has just changed so much for the better. Spotify arrived in Australia (where i live) just a month or two ago and I gave it a go. It costs $11.99 a month to have full access to the premium app...but this gives you access to stream (and at high quality - 320kbps if you so choose) pretty much any track that ever existed...ok, some pedants will start wailing and gnashing their teeth and scream that they can't find x or y, but in all seriousness "most" music is there. I guess the significant word for this social sharing application is INTERESTING! You see, ScanThe.Net is a great place to find new content while scanning the net for cool things to share on your social networks. And, in a Twitter-ish or Pinteresting kind of way, you can follow people as well as your interests via keywords and find all sorts of interesting stuff that you might not find through normal channels. You can vote for your best or worst content so you'd better make sure the content you come up with is, at the very least, interesting. ScanThe.Net encourages ... Read more
