Back in the bad old days, the doctor would simply tell their patient what was wrong with them, tell them to take their pills and hope they keep quiet. The patient was basically kept out of the process for as long as possible while the doctor got on with their job of curing them. But these days, things are far more open and doctors actively encourage their patients by keeping them 'in the loop' as to their condition. That's easy enough with lungs and broken legs but hearts are a different thing. 3D InterActive Heart is next generation medical application for iOS that enhances the doctor-patient relationship by allowing the patient to have a first hand view of the problems they face.
The 3D Interactive Heart is the first app to come out of the prestigious Ariva Bio Graphics, a division of Ariva Med Data Pvt. Ltd. They are a full-service 3D visualization studio producing cinematic quality 3D animations for the Health care industry. Their clients include pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, medical equipment manufacturers, publishing houses and corporate hospitals. Their team consists of animation experts handpicked from the motion picture industry, specialist and super specialist doctors and business professionals from the pharma industry who work together with their clients to produce medical animations of the highest scientific accuracy and world class visual quality. The 3D InterActive Heart provides an interactive view of the human heart from multiple angles. This beautifully rendered app is designed to enhance the doctor-patient relationship at the point of care so that doctors can review and discuss common heart problems and treatment options with patients as well as with their colleagues.
I think it's safe to sat that we will be seeing plenty more apps like this one coming onto the market over the next year or so. With the technology available on our mobile phones these days it's easy to see how they could be used as a really good educational tool. Doctors seem to have adopted the smartphone technology really well. In fact, it was only a couple of months ago that I got a call from a doctor friend asking for apps that will keep his child patients distracted while he treats them. The 3D InterActive Heart is a simple and quite beautiful IPad and iPhone app that gives multiple views and angles on the human heart enabling your doc to explain to a patient in acute detail just how he plans on treating their problem. This isn't it's only use, of course, as it can easily be used as an educational tool. However, it is very a handy tool for the doctor to keep in his pocket and whip out when visiting patients.
