Process to Re-create OST When It Is Not Synched with Exchange
If in case you have been working in the MS Exchange environment with a mailbox account on the server and you work offline with the Outlook Data File (.ost file) an somehow the file is missing items or it is simple not synched with the server mailbox, then you can re-create that file using the below given steps:

• First of all, exit Outlook program (if it was running)
• Then, from the Control Panel, you need to click/double-click “Mail”
• In the Mail Setup dialog box, the title bar has the name of your current profile. For selecting some different profile, you can click “Show Profiles” > then select profile name, > and finally click “Properties”
• After that, on the email tab, you have to select the MS Exchange account, and there click “Change”
• Clear the checkbox of “Use Cached Exchange Mode”
• Now, Click on “More Settings”
• Then, click Offline Folder File Settings on the Advanced tab
• After that, click Disable Offline Use
• And then click “Yes” in the dialog box which will appear as a result
• Once again, click on the Offline Folder File Settings
• And then, click OK
• Again click YES in the dialog box which appears
• Under the Cached Exchange Mode Settings, you have to select the checkbox for “Use Cached Exchange Mode”
• Then, click OK
• After that, click Next
• And finally, click Finish
• Lastly, in the Mail Setup dialog boxes and in the Account Settings, you need to click “Close” in the end
