I don't think I need to tell you that we live in a time of cybercrime. It's on the news every day. Whether its your email provider, your favorite department store or Government offices - its seems that everyone is at risk from hackers these days. So, what's the answer? Well, there are two ways of dealing with it. You can either just try to keep a low profile and rely on others to keep your private details secure or you can do something about it yourself. Cybrary is a security education app for Android that offers free cyber security and hacking training courses online to keep you up to date with all the latest security issues.

Cybrary is the largest online cyber security community and teaches you how to hack, crack and exploit almost anything. You can download any of the 25 or so different lessons that you are interested in and you don't even have to be online to watch them. When you have absorbed the content you can simply delete them and then download more. Lessons include hacking, forensics and cyber security training courses and you can watch them on the go, wherever you are, anytime you like and for free.

While it is one of the great 21st Century boom industries, breaking into the IT and cyber security industry is not an easy task. However, it's said that there are over a million unfilled cyber security jobs available worldwide. Being one of the more expensive educational fields, it's not an easy industry to consider as employment - let alone as a change of career later on in life. The expense of an overpriced security training market along with the need for constant upgrading of knowledge means that there is now a skills gap in the industry ... and it's getting wider. Cybrary brings cyber security to the world for free to help fill that gap.

The developers state that this gap is the major reason for Cybrary's existence. It's aim is to bring down the restrictions and to force changes on an industry that presents far too many barriers to getting involved and advancing in the cyber security industry. Their belief is that all IT and cyber security training, learning and knowledge should be free and in open source to everyone around the world to ensure the future security of our collective online activities. Their mission is to advance the cyber security industry by building a thriving community using truly helpful resources and tools that empower individuals and organizations. What’s more, they are working to make the cyber security industry a more level playing field where everyone has the educational tools they need to be competent and confident.

Cybrary is an excellent way to learn all there is to know about cyber security with a view to filling the million job opportunities out there. The app offers great, free online training courses covering subjects that range from industry certificates to post-exploitative hacking and uses lectures, demonstrations, exam study guides, white papers and case studies to enhance worldwide security knowledge. Not having to be online to do the course is a bonus, of course. You can simply download as many of the 25+ or so lessons as you like and study them when and where you have the time. When you've finished you can just delete them and download some more. Never has it been more important for us to learn as much as we can about cyber security. Cybrary is a free and easy place to start.
