There's even a map page where you can take an approximate look at where your fellow users are living - they might be around the corner.

For a social-minded news hound like myself, Engage's emphasis on interaction with other users is a breath of fresh air. I do love to have a bit of a chat with people who are passionate about a particular subject. I was amazed recently that a comment I made in a major newspaper's forum drew a vast amount of intelligent responses. Despite our being told constantly that people these days are more interested in what's happening in the Kardashian camp than whats going on in Kazakhstan, they appear to be wrong.
