Developer description

As reliable and accurate as those for the crank or pedals, which generally cost more than 300 dollars and with a more than proven data consistency, Capitán Nugget has developed this application that stimates cyclists bike’s effective power while in motion. It gets data from the sensors built into a smartphone, including the GPS, barometer (if the phone features one) and accelerometer. With these sensors and considering several variables such as the surface on which you are going to cycle, the type of bike: road, polyvalent or mountain, the length of the crank, the type and pressure of the tyres, the type of pedal, the type of wheel and weights, Captain Nugget have developed their own algorithm to estimate the average power every 15 seconds.
