The Best App for Editing and Sharing ... More

There has been a bit of a battle going on between Twitter and Instagram (and, of course, it's parent company Facebook) over the last few months. First up, Twitter launched its new video service called The Vine and described it as 'Instagram for Video.' This was coupled with Twitter stopping Instagram photos from turning up in people's streams. It might have seemed like a good idea at the time but, as we all know, part of Instagram's appeal is its unique set of filters that give photos that Instagrammatical look and The Vine fails to deliver that. So now we have a new photo and video app called Pincam that does have interesting filters as well as letting you share on YouTube and Facebook.

You never know when a once-in-a-lifetime moment is going to happen but with Pincam, you can easily capture, clip and share the moment with Pincam directly from your iPhone. Despite it's name being rather similar to Pinterest, this app for editing and sharing video really is nothing like it at all.  Instead, it lets you record, edit and share videos like never before. Just hit the record button to start capturing your video, choose from 14 beautifully unique filters and then hit the “Pin” button to capture clips of your once-in-a-lifetime moments as they happen. Pincam will then go back in time and catch the moment just before your selection so you never miss anything amazing. Finish recording and Pincam will automatically encode your clips into a seamless highlight reel. Then nstantly share your video with friends and family via Facebook, Twitter or email. With Pincam, you can capture your life’s best moments, edit and trim out the rest and share them with the best.

Pincam really has proved to be right on the ball with this video sharing and editing app for iPhone and have created an app that challenges The Vine's claim to be 'Instagram for Video.' On the plus side, this smart little app lets you film up to 6 seconds of video that can be tweaked with cool filters as you record. Plus, you can share your videos with Facebook and YouTube. On the down side, you have to set your filters before you film and you can't do it retrospectively and it's probably not quite as straightforward as some other similar apps. The thing is, Pincam is a nicely timed, free photo editing app that enhances your videos and gives you an easy share option to social networks. I wonder how Twitter will respond to that.
