Starting a session is as easy as clicking a link. There is no software to install or code to write. All you need to do to share a session is open surfly.com, enter the website you want to share and share the resulting link.
At Surfly we use an advanced technique to set up the shared session. This allows us to run the session solely via the web so there is no need to download any software, and you can start sharing immediately. A Surfly session is as fast as if you were using the site directly, without any loss of quality.
Surfly is a secure way to share your session with others. Some of the key features that makes us secure:
Surfly doesn’t need access to your computer. We work only in a single tab of your web browser; we do not have access to any of the other tabs, or run any software on your computer. When you close the browser tab, the Surfly session ends.
Surfly will not share passwords or security tokens. People who join your session will only see the visual content of your browser tab. They will not have access to form passwords or session cookies. To further ensure your security, all connections are encrypted using SSL.

While its easy enough to call a person to person or team meeting when you are all in the one place, it's not quite so easy if you are in different places or working remotely on the other side of the world. You can probably get away with Skyping it, if you are lucky and well organized. If you want to run through the issues of a website when the relevant parties are scattered around the globe, however, things can start to get a little trickier. Surfly is a free, cloud based collaborative application that lets you share a web session with others without the need to install any software or hand over the keys to your computer.
When the developers were creating Surfly they found it to be a particularly valuable tool for working with a remote development team. They had often discussed milestones and priorities of a project from a distance using apps like Skype and HipChat but found it far more difficult when attempting to walk someone through a website as it can be very tricky to visually point things out. If the other person can’t actually see the same things that you are seeing it can be so much more difficult - not to mention time consuming - to get some of the finer points and details across. All you need to do to share a session is open surfly.com, enter the website you want to share and share the resulting link. The app doesn’t have or need access to your computer and works using a single tab of your web browser so, when you close the browser tab, the session ends. They also do not share passwords or security tokens and the people who you invite to join your session will only see the visual content of your browser tab.
Have you ever tried to go through the finer details of a website when you and a collaborator are in completely different countries? Believe me, it can be hard work. Surfly is a wonderfully easy to use free app that solves that problem beautifully. Just both open up the link in the app and everyone can see exactly what you are talking about in real time. It works well in collaboration with tools like GitHub, Bitbucket and Google Code and makes it very simple for you to plan milestones, track issues, review code and pair programming whether your collaborator is in the office next door or on the other side of the world. It's so much less of a hassle than trying to Skype your information as everything works in the browser.
