It's been a while since there has been a new take on the email concept. I guess it's hard getting us out of our long held idea that incoming emails are viewed in a long list that starts at newest and ends as oldest. It's been the way we've done it for years but times have changed a fair bit. The main problem is that we tend to get way more emails these days than we've ever received before. That email that we received a couple of days back - and needs replying to now - could have got lost in the maelstrom because it is listed several pages back in proceedings.

That’s where an app like this one could come in very handy. Unibox is the first intuitive email client that sorts your inbox by contact rather than by date and time. It allows you to manage your incoming emails much better and with more clarity giving you peace of mind that you won't lose any in the pack. All of your incoming and outgoing emails are grouped by person so that they only appear once in the main inbox list.

With one tap you'll be able to see all the emails that you have exchanged with a person. This makes it easier to see all the communications you've sent back and forth grouped together including all the attachments that came with them. A full screen preview is available for many file types, including pictures, videos, office documents, PDFs and many more.

Unibox was born after founders Lasse and Phillip found themselves constantly frustrated by emails getting lost in threads. They were spending too much of their precious time searching through emails for the one that they wanted and decided to try to create a better solution. Their 'outside-the-box' thinking led them to completely revolutionize the way we look at email and Unibox came together.

Unibox means that your inbox is always cleaned up and makes it easier to find that email you were looking for. With one sweep you can get rid of heaps of unwanted messages, newsletters and notifications that you don't need anymore. The app works with all email providers that support the IMAP protocol including Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook, Live, Office365, Yahoo and Exchange servers that have IMAP enabled as well as many others. It's available now for free on the App Store for Mac, iPhone, iPad and iPod touch using iOS 8.0 or later.
