[cont'd] t contain any advertising making it faster and easier to use. WikiDo also offers promotors an easy way to promote theirevents and promoters can submit their individual listings or request that WikiDo periodically check their websites.  WikiDo lets users search for events by keyword, location, date or type. After searching, they can narrow the results by clicking on tags like basketball, ballet, jazz, fitness, pop, live shows or with category names like festivals, arts and museum and technology. If there aren't any listings for a specific town or city, the site shows events in neighboring cities as well as providing an estimate of the travel distance for each event.
At the moment, Wikido is in beta mode and only features cities in the US but plans are afoot to take in wider pastures like Europe and Australia. In reality, the app is more like a 21st Century version of the old city entertainment guide. It's a shame but the print industry just doesn't cut it anymore and there is only one way to get the most out of an entertainment guide and that involves taking it online where a single click takes you to the events own web page. WikiDo is ultra easy to use and totally free. When it spreads it's wings past America it could well turn out to be the ultimate entertainment guide.
