The social media world is an ever changing one. It goes through static moments where little seems to change and then another network comes along that slightly kinks the model a little bit. Facebook started it off and then there was Twitter for words, Instagram for photos and i read recently that users now send over 2 billion Snapchat photos and videos every day. Astonishing! So why do we need another social network to complicate our lives even further? More
Car and bike lovers are a passionate lot. It’s almost as if they regard the vehicles that they own (and the vehicles that they'd like to own) as religious icons. Show them the latest Ferrari or Harley and they'll be almost rapturous in their praise. Show them a new motor app and you can keep them occupied for hours scrolling through the pages. More
How many times do you hear it these days? The news is too serious. It's depressing. Whether it be terrorist bombs, street shootings or violent Black Friday fights, it almost makes you wanna turn off the news and watch "Two and a Half Men." Well, maybe I'm stretching it a little there but i'm sure you know exactly what I mean. In actual fact, more and more people are turning to their mobiles to catch up on the news rather than the traditional TV nightly versions. However, if the truth were known, even mobile news leaves a little to be desired. More
I've often wondered, you know. What exactly is it that turns a good app into a viral sensation? Over the years we've reviewed all the great free social apps upon release here at the FeedMyApp offices. Some, like Pinterest, Vine and Snapchat, were pretty obviously going to succeed. Others, like Flipboard, were not quite so obvious. The one thing they do need is a fair bit of luck. Given that wee bit of that luck, here's one that looks like it has all the right ingredients to hit the big time and be a mainstay in the app world over the next few years. Flyreel is a social video sharing app ... More
I'm sure that we've all been in a position at one time or another where we've been watching a longish video on YouTube and found a part of it really interesting. So interesting, in fact, that we want to keep it and watch it again later or share it with our friends. The process at the moment seems to be to save the whole video to your playlist or to add it to the "watch later" feature. However, it can get a little annoying when the section that you want to keep is only one or two minutes out of a sixty minute video. When you share it with others, the best you can do is to tell them to tune ... More
You might have seen a review that FeedMyApp ran recently for an iOS app called Notes Lock. It secured all your notes, recorded conversations and your private thoughts so that prying eyes wouldn't be able to get to them. Folder Lock Advanced is kind of an expanded version of that for both Android, iPhone and iPad that takes security one step further to protect and lock your personal folders, files, photos, apps, videos, notes, wallet and any other kind of data that you need to keep secure. This release is actually an updated and far more advanced version of the award winning desktop ... More
Anyone who is a regular reader of FeedMyApp reviews will know just how much we love a new and innovative travel app. To be quite honest, we feel a little starved of great ones of late. Despite the plethora of travel related apps that exploded onto our lives in the early days of app development, there haven't been that many recently that have managed to stir the interest of this would be traveler. However, here's one that could be very interesting to the more adventurous amongst us. VidPal offers a new concept in discovering new places by asking fellow travelers or locals to post real time ... Regular FeedMyApp readers might remember a review that we conducted last year of an excellent photo and video application for iOS8 called Camera Plus. Our thoughts were that, despite a plethora of great iOS camera apps available on the market (not to mention the excellent default camera that is built in to both iPhone and iPad,) Camera Plus was one of the better ones we had come across because of its sheer convenience and the fact that it is a hell of a lot of fun to use. This simple to use and newly updated version offers budding photographers all the previous features like instant photo ... More
Control of your business data used to be reasonably easy in the old days of paper. There was probably a rickety old filing cabinet where all your photos and documents were kept and there was probably one person who knew exactly what was going on. But now that everything is digitalized, the management and organization of your important digital assets has got a lot more complicated - not to mention time consuming. IntelligenceBank Digital Asset Management. is a flexible, fully customizable and easy-to-use Digital Asset Management (DAM) application for business that is packed with great ... More
Now that Apple seem to have eradicated most of the bugs and problems from iOS8 it might be time to take advantage of some of its benefits. Camera Plus is an exciting, fun and easy to use app that has long been regarded as one of the better photo and video applications for iOS. This new version - fully optimized for iOS8 - takes full advantage of the upgrade. It makes the art of photo taking much simpler with its use of one-tap actions. You can easily shoot photos and videos using the remote control feature, adjust the lighting to get the perfect look to your shots and use one of the ... More
