Before we even begin this review i'd like to point out one thing. While I know it's an odd thing to say about an app that one is reviewing ... I hope none of you ever have to use SnapMail! Does the whole concept of Black Friday scare the living daylights out of you? You've spotted an advertised price for a new TV but it's probably going to mean queuing up for hours, maybe days, in order to actually buy it at that price. Not only that but there's going to be a lot of pushing and shoving when you get in there. But it doesn't have to be like that. PWUL (Pay What You Like) is a new shopping application that constantly tracks thousands of websites to find the item that you want and at the price that you want to pay. When it becomes available at your nominated price, they'll send ... More
So, you've probably spent weeks and months diligently putting your website together with everything from your latest brand information to ecommerce sales. You probably think that you can relax a bit now and let the website do all the work. Uh-huh? That's a really dangerous thing to do. If something goes wrong with your website and there is downtime, you might not just lose a few sales while it isn't working. There's little more frustrating for the potential customer than a website that doesn't work efficiently and, chances are, those people won't be back. Pingometer is a top notch website ... More
I always find it amusing when someone sees a hole in the market and comes up with an app for something we all know should have been included in the service in the first place. I guess Instagram is a classic example - if Facebook had its photo uploading shit together it wouldn't have to have forked out 100 million big ones for a simple photo app. StreamThing is the simplest idea for an app. It tells you when movies and tv shows that you want to see are due to be shown on Netflix instant streaming. Now why didn't someone at the US's biggest online movie channel think of that? Its been ... More
There have been some weird and wacky digital alarm clock apps to wake you up in the morning. Anyone remember the one that threatened to call a different contact in your address book every three minutes until you wake up or the one that donated $10 from your bank account to a charity that's NOT of your choice every time the snooze button gets hit. Quiz Alarm is a free alarm clock app that will wake you up pretty damned quick as it asks you a question when the alarm rings. Fail to get it right and your neighbors will be banging on your door pleading for you to answer it correctly. ... More

I can only see a couple of slight issues with this one, ingenious though it is and we’ll come to them a little later. Getting out of bed can be a tough call for a lot of people and it doesn’t matter what method you use, alarm clocks of all shapes and sizes can just be switched straight off when the annoying noise gets too much. This one takes the method of getting a reliable friend to pop round and throw a brick through your bedroom window to new heights. It’s nothing as destructive of course but it does bring me to my first issue and that is that you’ll ... More
Here is a security app that acts is if it's a security guard on site overseeing and protecting all the comings and goings on your website and reporting to you any anomalies. It will notify you of any major issues that might crop up including malware and spam, outdated or expiring programs and certificates, downtime and defacements plus a whole lot more. WebSecurityMonitor will help you get to sleep at night while it patrols your site. More
I’m not sure about some of the functions on this one. Whilst I can see the merits of a few I can see the at least one of them causing some confusion amongst restaurant staff as well as diners. As a reservation management system and customer reporting tool it looks to have all of the bases covered to enable business owners to monitor diner volumes and cancellations. It could also be a useful marketing tool. More
