AidMaid is one of those apps that one hopes neither you nor your friends will ever need to use. The next generation of restaurant POS apps is here for you now

The restaurant business has really changed over the years. There was a time when many dining spots were basically mom and dad affairs. You ordered your food from one of them and the other would cook it to your specifications - with a bit of luck. But restaurants nowadays seem to have got bigger and more complicated and you almost need a Maitre'D in each to control the flow and to make sure that everything runs to perfection. However, it's not exactly easy to find someone who is competent and hard working enough to live up to the name these days.  More

Online shopping thats cheaper than your local dollar shop with free postage thrown in

You've gotta wonder sometimes how those 'dollar stores' that you find in malls manage to sell their stuff so much cheaper than regular stores. I mean, in many cases, they are exactly the same products. Same brand name, same size but so much cheaper than the store just up the road. The answer, of course, lies in their ability to cut out the middlemen. But what if I told you that you could slash those dollar shop prices by up to 90% just by shopping online? You'd jump at it, right?  More

Never miss a birthday and make sure your gift gets to them safe and sound

Aah, life used to be so simple once, didn't it? We could swan around without a care in the world and easily remember special events and birthdays with ease. Nowadays, we are all so busy and preoccupied with life that it's hard to remember our own birthday let alone cousin Amy's. By the time you come to realize that her big day is here, it's too late to buy a present and get it to her on time. What we really need is a giant calendar to remind us well before the event so that we can prepare and send a gift off in time.  More

Simplify your payroll and chat to your staff

While it should be incredibly simple, there's little that causes disharmony in the workplace more than payroll problems. All your employees’ want is to have their wages safely at their disposal on payday with no glitches, no problems and no stuff ups. Sometimes that’s not quite as easy to achieve as it seems - even more so if your staff are working in remote areas. 'halo pay for business' is South African based and a new style of pay vehicle - backed by Barclays Bank subsidiary ABSA bank - that goes some way to solving those problems.  More

A group trip planner that solves four familiar problems

Over the years we've seen hundreds of travel apps pass through the offices of FeedMyApp for review. I don't quite know why it is but I can honestly say that we've loved most of them. Maybe it is that hankering to get away from our humdrum lives and find a nice desert island somewhere to relax on - somewhere that’s away from wars, politicians and the Kardashians. We'd probably all go away together if it wasn't for the fact that it's a pain in the ass to organize.  More

A social community for the writers amongst us

There have been positives and negatives to the world of writing since the introduction of the ebook and kindle a few years back. On the one hand there seems to be less physical books on the shelves of stores but on the positive side, it has opened things up to the point where virtually anyone can now write and be published electronically. All that's needed is some inspiration and a good writing style. That's the difficult part!  More

Is this the future of bricks and mortar mall shopping?

Retail is a rather sad state of affairs these days, isn't it? The stores seem to be getting bigger and the staff levels seem to be getting smaller. In some of the bigger department stores now it's hard to find a counter to pay at, let alone finding someone to show you where a specific item is on the shelves. I'm sure this suits the owners of the store because they can cut their staffing costs, but it can be a time consuming nightmare for consumers. So maybe it's time for a slightly different approach.  More
