Is this the future of bricks and mortar mall shopping?

Retail is a rather sad state of affairs these days, isn't it? The stores seem to be getting bigger and the staff levels seem to be getting smaller. In some of the bigger department stores now it's hard to find a counter to pay at, let alone finding someone to show you where a specific item is on the shelves. I'm sure this suits the owners of the store because they can cut their staffing costs, but it can be a time consuming nightmare for consumers. So maybe it's time for a slightly different approach.  More

Discover museums, culture, historic places and the weird and wonderful wherever you visit

If i asked you which was the more popular entertainment for American families between major league sporting events, theme parks and museums, my guess is that you wouldn't pick museums. They have long been considered to be a bit old hat and stodgy and full of nothing but ancient relics. Surely no kid would want to see that, would they? Well, according to a 2011 study, there are over 850 million visits to museums each year. That's just about the same amount as the other two put together. Museums are actually very popular, it seems.  More

Wow! There are 3D animals in my room!

Most of the apps we review here at FeedMyApp are good, solid and dependable and they do exactly what you'd think they would do. There are plenty of apps for business, plenty of game apps and plenty of social apps. But occasionally, one comes along that really takes us by surprise. Zookazam is, without a shadow of a doubt, an app that'll make you go "Wow!!!" So, what makes it so special, you may ask? Well, what if I told you that you could have an animated 3D dinosaur sitting right there on your desk in front of you...or maybe in the school hall? Yeah, I thought that might get your ...  More

Digitize and manage your paper content and create editable PDF's

The scanner really hasn't been utilized as well as it could as a legitimate piece of business software. We tend to use them as a peripheral device and rarely as a vital part of everyday business life. But if you are still using a lot of paper documents - whether it be receipts, invoices, bank statements, lecture notes or even the odd recipe that you want to keep for later use - its a hell of a lot easier to keep track of them if you can get your hands on a decent scanning app with some organizing abilities. Smart Document Scanner is a free Android scanning and management app that makes it ...  More

A convenient and fun way of geolocating your travel photos and discovering new places

When modern smartphones and GPS capable cameras introduced their geolocation capabilities a while back, an opportunity was created for some enterprising entrepreneur to take full advantage of it. One in particular realized that it was all very well to display one's photographs but it wasn't quite so easy to remember where and when they were taken. The developers realized that when you take a photo using the new technology, your device logs the coordinates where the photo was taken. So, utilizing that information, they created UrbanBird to log your photo details automatically with dates, ...  More Mar 17th 2014

Keep your device screen active and viewable all the time

While we enjoy the benefits of our device's default energy saving capabilities there are times when it's actually kind of aggravating. Probably the most annoying is when using the GPS system or reading a map. The last thing that you need is for your device to dim out or go into sleep mode when you need it in a hurry. It can be downright dangerous, if it comes to that. Stay Alive! is a free, simple and effective mobile and tablet application that is guaranteed to keep your device's screen active when you need it and off when you don't.   Stay Alive! keeps your device's screen up, ...  More

The easiest and fastest way to see technology news from around the globe

Just in case you hadn't noticed, things are moving at an alarmingly fast pace in the world of online technology. So fast, in fact, that it can be hard to keep up with the latest rumors, releases and trends. If you are anything like me, you scour through a few favorite sites like Mashable, TechCrunch and to try to keep up and pick up the rest of the information from wherever you can. Most of these sites offer their own variation on tech news - some put the emphasis on games while others feature the latest software, gadgets or Apple news  - but there are few that deliver ...  More Sep 19th 2013
